Announcements

  • President Ray named Lisa Hemphill the Rotarian of the Week. We all knew it was coming, and that the honor was well-deserved. Lisa chaired the Taste of the Holidays Committee, which did a stellar job putting together a fun-tastic event! Lisa was quick to share the credit, which was appropriate, but she kept Taste in our minds throughout autumn, and she kept all of us moving forward!

  • In what may have been a record time, Brandon Kakitsuka became our newest Blue Badger!
  • And … Rotary Exchange Student Maria Vitória Della Riva, who is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Old Town Eureka, exchanged Club banners with President Ray!

Sing Along With the Johnson Boys

Unfortunately, the Arcata High School Madrigal Choir was not able to perform at our meeting, however … President Ray prevailed upon Sunrisers Dick Johnson and Bob Johnson to lead our Club in some holiday music.

This also served as a rehearsal for the caroling our Club did that evening for Arts Arcata.

Have a wonderful holiday season … we’ll see you on Friday, January 4th!
