Saturday, January 26: Pancake Breakfast to support Arcata High School’s College & Career Center. At the D Street Community Center in Arcata.
Additional Important Stuff
The Arcata High School Interact Club meets every Friday at 12:20 pm.
The North Bay Rotaract Club meets in the Plaza View Room at Jacoby’s Storehouse at 6 pm on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month.

- Past President Dustin Littlefield has thrown his hat into the ring as one of the candidates for District Governor!
- President Ray’s Rotarian of the Week was Ed Christians, who led our Club through another night of great service and great fun at the Annual Foster & Kinship Dinner earlier in the week. We gave Ed a well-deserved standing ovation.
Aviation and Humboldt County
Former RCAS President Gregg Foster introduced Humboldt County’s first-ever Director of Aviation, Cody Roggatz. The position was created when the Board of Supervisors chose to split the County’s airports away from the Public Works Department. Cody told us about dealing with the logistics of managing the local airports, pointing out that his department has to deal with “tens of thousands” of pages of regulations from various agencies.
Gregg also talked about dealing with airlines, noting that our local business is very small to them. “We don’t even count enough for a rounding error” in their profit calculations, he said.
