Saturday, March 3 – Judges needed for History Day at HSU – 7 am to Noon
Saturday, March 10Adopt-A-Highway! Meet at the Humboldt Coastal Nature Center at 9:30 am.
Thursday, April 5RCAS and Humboldt State host a dinner/discussion with HSU students.

Sunrise Briefs

  • RCAS was “on tour” last Friday – we visited the Creative Sanctuary on 13th Street!
  • Rotary Kid Mary Crow achieved her Girl Scout Cookie Sales goal!!
  • Laura Montagna and April Perez told us about the “Big, Big Challenge”. Our Club is challenging other local Rotary Clubs to step up and help Big Brothers / Big Sisters in a Big, Big Way!!

Sojourning Sunrisers

This week’s Sojourners included Scott Heller, who went to Syracuse for his son Michael’s 19th birthday. President Dustin was in Sacramento taking (and passing) the Real Estate Licensing Exam. Terri Clark was also in the state capital, and she was able to enjoy a nice dinner with two nephews and a niece – all delightful! to it!

The Creative Sanctuary

As noted above, our meeting took place was held at Arcata’s Creative Sanctuary – a former church that has been converted into a center for the arts. The group provided a delicious breakfast for us, and then Steve McHaney introduced co-founders Katie Belknap and Solomon Lowenstein, who told us the Sanctuary’s history..
