Saturday, March 3 – Judges needed for History Day at HSU – 7 am to Noon
Saturday, March 10 – Join RCAS for a rip-roarin’ good time! It’s our Spring Fundraiser – “An Evening Out West”! ! Put on yer chaps and boots, and let’s have some fun at the Arcata Community Center!!
Thursday, April 5 – RCAS and Humboldt State host a dinner/discussion with HSU students.
Sunrise Briefs
- Don’t forget about the Big Brothers / Big Sisters Mentor Challenge – our Club is competing with other Rotary Clubs in the area to encourage Rotarians to commit a few hours each week spending time with a youngster. The BB/BS program helps a lot of kids in our area, and we’d like to help more! Ask Laura Montagna or April Perez for more information.
- We are looking for more table sponsors for the Spring Fundraiser. Don’t hesitate to ask!

Izzy’s Week
Izzy Orasch – our Exchange Student from Austria – provided a recap of her busy week, which included snow skiing, Valentunes, and the Junior Prom!
Diverting Youth from the Justice System
It’s always interesting when a Sunriser is our Featured Speaker, and Crystal Perez didn’t come close to breaking that streak! She is the Juvenile Diversion Counselor for the Arcata Police Department. The program seeks to reduce youth involvement in the criminal justice system.
