Announcements

We heard about the RCAS Cross Country Championships – an event that grows each year that we host it. President AJ showed a video of the previous weekend’s apple pressing fellowship event at Cam Appleton’s orchard.

We’re getting ready for Pints for Polio on October 24th at Six Rivers Brewery in McKinleyville. Other local Rotary Clubs are hosting the event at additional locations along the North Coast.

We continue to gear up for Taste of the Holidays 2019, with prize teams assigned. (That is, we learned the composition of the teams that will be gathering prizes for the event.)

And Katie McGourty stopped by to invite us to the Surfrider Foundation’s “Black & White Ocean Night”, which will take place at the Arcata Theatre Lounge on December 6th.

Our Featured Speaker was Leigh Pierre-Oetker, the Executive Director of the Sequoia Park Zoo Foundation.
