Saturday, July 28: Friends of the Dunes host the Sand Castle Festival at the Samoa Dragstrip from 8 am to 2 pm.
Sunday, August 12: The Humboldt Bay Marathon is looking for volunteers to help direct runners.
Sojourning Sunrisers & Report from Toronto
We heard from several travelers, including Maggie Kraft, Andreas Krause, Julie Vaissade-Elcock, Dick Johnson, Brandi Easter, and AJ Gonzales.
In addition, Ashliegh Diehl and Susan Diehl-McCarthy provided a recap of their adventures at the Rotary International Convention in Toronto.
Bella’s Back!
Bella White recently returned from spending a Rotary Exchange year in Denmark. She gave a brief recap of her experience – complete with a poem).
Arcata Chamber Update
Our Featured Speaker was Joellen Clark-Peterson, who is the Executive Director of the Arcata Chamber of Commerce.
Joellen talked about the many activities that the Chamber hosts and participates in, and she praised her Board of Directors (which is currently led by Sunriser Steve McHaney).
