2016-17 Rotary Theme

Welcome to the Sunrise Spirit –
the Weekly Newsletter of The Rotary Club of Arcata Sunrise

Our Next Meeting

Our next meeting is our annual “Ouster Festival”, better known as The Debunking. We will thank outgoing Club President Susan Jansson for leading us this year. And this task is performed respectfully, with decorum oozing from every pore. (Or perhaps not …)

As usual, we will gather at 7 am at the Jacoby Storehouse on the Arcata Plaza. The Debunking will begin at 7 am or so, and it will include fun, food, and even music!

Please note that the Club will not meet on the Friday before Independence Day (June 30th).

Editor’s Note: I wish I could blame this on something (anything) other than operator error, but I failed to record video of most of the June 16th meeting. I had the camera pointed in the right direction, but I didn’t notice that the little red dot on the screen was not lit. Fortunately, I managed to record the Featured Presentation by Emily Jacobs and Gregg Foster, but that’s it.

My apologies to all, especially those whose information I didn’t capture.

They had a lot to say about the recent changes in our ability to travel into and out of the area by air, and about the aviation industry nationally:
