Sunrise Briefs

  • At our last meeting, we welcomed new Sunriser Malinda Damme. She has worked for several years in property management, and she is working to earn her license as a real estate broker. She was proposed by her Sunriser Sister, Rachel Damme! Malinda served on the board for the North Bay Rotaract Club, and we are delighted to have her in our Club!

  • Exchange Student Izzy’s week ended with District Governor Bob Rogers presenting her as our newest Paul Harris Fellow, and with some high-priced (but delicious) cookies!

  • Former Club President Howard Stauffer got us caught up with our Club’s World Community Service efforts. We also heard from Rabia O’Loren, and her work in Pakistan’s Swat Valley.

Welcome, District Governor Bob Rogers!

Bob Rogers, this year’s Governor of Rotary District 5130, visited our Club on September 15th. He talked about the recent Pedal 4 Polio event, and about Rotary’s polio eradication efforts. He also spoke to us about dreams, and how a Rotarian’s dream of service can become a reality.
